Instructions for oral Presentations

Format

Each talk is 15 minutes: 12 minutes of presentation + 3 minutes of discussion.
Session chairs will keep strict time: do not overrun.

Facilities

Each room has an LCD projector with (at least) VGA connector.
Bring your own laptop to present from, or use the one provided in each room (Windows with PowerPoint and Acrobat)

Procedure

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your session to introduce yourself to the chair and test your laptop connection.
The session chair will introduce you by name and affiliation. Your 15 minute slot includes speaker transition, chair's introduction, your talk and 3 minutes of questions.




Instructions for Poster Presentations

Poster presentations include a teaser and an interactive session.


Poster teasers Instructions

Each presenter will have 1 minute for a poster teaser, during which he/she will give a brief overview of the paper supported by the PowerPoint slide already prepared for the digest of the Conference.
Presenters are required to approach the podium before the start of the session and will present following the same order set in the technical program:

Interactive Session Instructions

The interactive sessions will be held in the following rooms of Grand Hotel Palazzo:
- Sala Stucchi
- Sala Fattori
You are invited to display your posters and any demos, prototypes or videos supporting the presentation of your work.

The space available for posters, in portrait mode, is:
- width: 100 cm
- height: 170 cm
You are free to use the available space at your convenience. The most important thing is to ensure that the text is legible, and you can use any mixture of text, pictures and equations.
The necessary material for hanging the posters will be provided.
Please note that posters must be hanged in the morning (8.30am-1.00pm) and removed at the end of each interactive session (6.00 pm), according to the program available here.

Some space will be available close to the poster stations for demos, prototypes, and additional material displayed on laptops.

Instructions for Late Breaking Abstract Presentations

Late breaking abstract presentation consists of an interactive session (see instructions above).
Please note that posters must be hanged in the morning (8.30am-1.00pm) and removed at the end of the interactive late-breaking session (3.30 pm), according to the program available here.
